I made this piece on a postcard for the, of the "What is Disability" Postcard Project, as part of the 2010 International VSA Festival in Washington DC. This will be in an open show at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on June 6th - 11th. It's not available for sale but is available as a print.
About Mark Lubich
Mark Lubich was born in Port Hueneme, California in 1956. He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1974 and the University of Washington, with a BA in History, in 1978. He was commissioned a 2LT in the US Army in 1982 and, as a Captain, became medically disabled in 1988. He is a self taught artist who started working with mixed media in 1992. He began experimenting with glass in 1999. Currently, he’s incorporating fused glass with mixed media collage. He also continues to do sculptural glass pieces Distinctions and Awards 2015 Veteran's 2014 National Arts Competition, Puget Sound Region, 1st Place in Fiber Arts Original Design, 1st Place in Applied Arts Mixed Media and 2nd Place in Glass VA...
